Hokoji relies on volunteers for basic upkeep of the grounds, most of which are typical household and yard upkeep (weed-whacking; dusting; vacuuming; zendo care). There are projects which require a group effort or specific skills (oiling wood; carpentry and masonry projects). There are also deeper projects which require planning, funding, and skills. Please let the work leader or one of the senior students know if you see a project you would like to undertake. We welcome your contribution. Many people feel moved to participate in this way as an expression of gratitude for Hokoji’s presence.
