Dear Friends,

There is a zazenkai (one-day meditation) offered at Hokoji on July 25th. First sitting begins at 5:40 am (please see attached schedule). 
 
Anyone is welcome to attend all or part of the day.  In the afternoon, at 3:30 pm, we will chant the Heart Sutra to honor our teacher Kobun, his daughter Maya, and our friends who have passed; there will be a ceremonial interment of Art Greeno and Thom Mayor's ashes; we will also honor the names who have been on the altar and respectfully let them go. Anyone may also bring a name or event which they would like to offer to the transformative element of fire.
